On October 7th 2023 terrorist organisation Hamas launched a surprise military attack on Israel, kidnapping and killing Israeli civilians. In response Israel has declared war on Hamas, and we are seeing the results unfold before our eyes. As we try to wrap our heads around this major military event, we must remember that this has all been prophesied. All throughout scripture we see the nation of Israel continually turn away from the Lord and turn to the nations to rescue them, and it never goes well for them.

Kyle Chahanovich of Banner of Love Ministries has laid these scriptures out clearly, carefully looking at Deuteronomy, the Psalms, Habakkuk, Isaiah, Ezekiel, the Psalm 83 war, scriptures on Gog and Magog and many more. There is no end to the amount of scripture that has foretold that Israel would be in great distress, and that it is the Lord who brings it upon them in the hope that they would repent and turn back to their God. These events also need to happen to set the stage for the coming Peace Treaty with the Antichrist, the Third Temple to be built, the Rapture and the Day of the Lord. We are quite literally seeing prophecy unfold before our very eyes, and it is important to stay focused on God’s plan and not mans!
